Day 2 – Trek from Hanuman Chatti to Kandola Chhani

After breakfast, start your trek through oak, pine, and rhododendron forests. Reach Kandola Chhani, a scenic meadow campsite. Overnight stay in tents.


Day 3 – Trek from Kandola Chhani to Seema Thatch

Day 1 – Pickup from Dehradun and Drive to Hanuman Chatti (Base Camp)

Your Himalayan journey begins early morning from Dehradun Railway Station, where our team will greet you warmly. By 6:30–7:00 AM, we set off on a scenic drive toward Hanuman Chatti, the starting point of the Gulabi Kantha Trek.

As the road winds through the hills, the city’s noise fades away and nature slowly takes over. You’ll drive through Mussoorie, a charming hill station often called “The Queen of Hills,” and continue past Kempty Falls, where the cool mountain air feels refreshing.

Further ahead, the road follows the Yamuna River, offering enchanting views of its sparkling waters surrounded by pine and oak forests. Small Garhwali villages like Barkot and Naugaon appear along the way, each with their own charm and simplicity.

Day 2 – Trek from Hanuman Chatti to Kandola Chhani

Wake up to the sound of chirping birds and a golden sunrise over the mountains. After a hearty breakfast, begin your trek from Hanuman Chatti toward Kandola Chhani.

Day 3 – Trek from Kandola Chhani to Seema Thatch

Trek Distance: 6 km | Duration: 6–7 Hours | Altitude: 3,474 m / 11,400 ft | Overnight stay: Seema Thatch campsite.

After breakfast, pack up your gear and start your next leg toward Seema Thatch. The trail today is slightly steeper but offers even more stunning scenery.

You’ll pass through alpine forests that gradually open into wide, flower-covered meadows. Every turn brings a new view — shining peaks in the distance, fresh mountain streams, and grazing horses on the green slopes.

As you climb higher, the air becomes cooler and cleaner. The forest slowly thins out, revealing vast open meadows and glimpses of the higher Himalayan ranges.

By afternoon, you’ll reach Seema Thatch, a serene high-altitude meadow surrounded by rolling hills and snow-clad peaks. This is one of the most beautiful camping spots on the entire trek.

Day -4

Day 4 – Seema Thatch to Gulabi Kantha Summit (4,000 m) and Return to Kandola Chhani

Trek Distance: 15 km (round trip) | Duration: 8–9 Hours | Maximum Altitude: 4,000 m / 13,200 ft | Overnight stay: Tents at Kandola Chhani.

This is the most exciting and rewarding day of your trek — the summit day!
Start early in the morning to catch the sunrise from the top. The climb to Gulabi Kantha is challenging but filled with breathtaking views and unforgettable moments.

As you ascend, the trail turns from grassy slopes to rocky terrain. The higher you go, the grander the views become. The name “Gulabi Kantha” (meaning Pink Ridge) comes alive as you walk through meadows covered in pink and red rhododendron flowers — a rare sight that feels almost magical.

Reaching the Gulabi Kantha Summit (4,000 m) is a moment of pure joy. From here, you’ll witness a 360° view of the Himalayan giantsSwargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Chaukhamba, and even Nanda Devi glimmer in the distance.

Day 5 – Trek from Kandola Chhani to Hanuman Chatti and Drive to Dehradun

Trek Distance: 5 km | Duration: 3–4 Hours | Drive Distance: 180 km | Duration: 6–7 Hours

Your last morning in the mountains begins peacefully. After breakfast, pack up and start your descent to Hanuman Chatti. The return trail feels lighter and more relaxed — giving you time to notice the little things you might have missed earlier: the sound of the river, the rustling leaves, the birds flying overhead.

Once you reach Hanuman Chatti, bid farewell to the mountains and begin your drive back to Dehradun. You’ll pass the same scenic route through Barkot, Mussoorie, and Kempty Falls, reaching Dehradun by around 5:00 PM.

By Air:

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun), located around 170 km from Nainbagh. From the airport, you can take a taxi or shared cab to reach Nainbagh via Mussoorie or Nainbagh road.

By Train:

The nearest railway station is Dehradun Railway Station. From there, you can hire a cab, take a local bus, or join a trekking group heading towards Nainbagh. The road journey takes about 5–6 hours.

By Road:

Dehradun is well connected to major cities like Delhi, Rishikesh, and Haridwar by regular bus services.

  • From Dehradun to Nainbagh, the distance is approximately 150 km, and it takes 5–6 hours by car.
  • You can reach via Mussoorie – Kempty Falls – Nainbagh route, which is very scenic and full of mountain views.

Once you reach Nainbagh, the trek to Gulabi Kantha Base Camp begins. From there, you’ll hike through forests, meadows, and ridges to reach the Gulabi Kantha Summit (12,000 ft).
